On October 16, I held my first presentation on a topic I like to call, “Future-proofing our kids…Really?!” While attendance was light, the conversations were nonetheless engaging. The people who attended gave positive feedback! I will be offering this presentation four more times:
• October 28 in the Park LRC at 7:00 p.m.
• November 2 at the La Grange PARK library at 7:00 p.m.
• November 4 at the La Grange Library at 7:00 p.m.
• And for all District 102 Employees on December 16th during RSD.
As I put together the presentation, I was reminded of what an incredible era we are in, not only for education, but also for our world. I always thought it was amazing that my grandmother lived through the St. Louis World’s Fair, World War I and II, the first McDonalds and the landing of a man on the moon, etc. Certainly some events over her 93 years were more notable than others! But the point is that remarkable things have happened in our world over the last 100 years. Fast forward to today. The Class of 2028 started...
