Matthew Scotty, Vice President
Matt and his family have lived in District 102 for over 16 years. He currently lives in La Grange with his wife Donna and their four daughters, ages 9 - 16. Their children currently attend Cossitt and LT, and either have attended or will attend Park Junior High. Matt joined the Board in May 2011 after having served as a volunteer member of the District's Financial Advisory Committee. He continues to serve on that committee as a board member, and is one of the liaisons to the Special Education Department.
Matt had two main goals when he joined the board: 1) to help create the best possible learning environment for all students in District 102; and 2) to help guide the Board and the District through any financial challenges it faces in the coming years.
Matt’s entire professional career has been in higher education finance. He is currently President of National Education Servicing, which owns and services ~ $1 billion in student loan assets. He has run this company since its creation in 2001. In this role, and through his prior experience at a regional bank, Matt has gained first-hand experience with numerous financing models in the education field for both public and private entities.
Matt’s formal training includes a Master’s degree from the Kellogg Graduate School at Northwestern University in Finance and Organizational Behavior. He received a B.S. in Finance from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
In addition to his own children, Matt has five nieces and nephews that have attended or currently attend District 102 schools.
