Response to Intervention Process Outline

Note: this is a summary outline of the information contained in the "Detailed Guide to Placement and Movement Between Tiers"


1. Formal District Data Review- May (Spring)

  • Placements Reviewed
  • Intervention programs reviewed and adjusted, if needed.
  • Students placed in appropriate tier
  • Data reviewed: ISAT, MAP, CBM, and program data.
 
2. Fall Intervention Programming (September/October)
  • Students begin intervention programming
  • New students tested and placed in appropriate programs.
  • K students are assessed and placed in appropriate programs.
  • Update RtI Dialogue Form.
 
3. Ongoing Data Review  (November-January)
  • Grade level teams review student data per unit.
  • Building level data teams review data per unit.
  • Teachers make adjustments to instructional planning forms.
  • Update RtI Dialogue Form.
 
4. Formal Mid-Year District Data Review (February or 18 weeks)
  • Grade level teams review all data available at this time.
  • Teachers make adjustments to instructional planning forms.
  • Teams make recommendations for any changes in tier placement.
  • Submit requests using RtI Change Request Form.
  • Update RtI Dialogue Form. 
 
5. Ongoing Data Review (March- April)
  • Grade level teams review student data per unit.
  • Building level data teams review data per unit.
  • Teachers make adjustments to instructional planning forms.
  • Update RtI Dialogue Form.
 
6. End of Year Formal Data Review (May)
  • Data reviewed by grade level teams.
  • Adjustments are made to programming or tiers as needed.
 
A team of staff is responsible for monitoring the progress of students at Tier 2 or Tier 3.  This would include classroom teacher, intervention teacher, and IEP Case manager.  &l
